Job Description

Outpatient SDS Coder II

Day to day:

1. Main Function – Coding Outpatient Facility Same Day Surgery (SDS) accounts

2. Assist with DX Coding, Cardiac Cath Labs,- validate CPT codes, (Correction if nurse entered wrong charge), IVR, Very minimal, ER

3. Help catch up with Denials, CCI edits, understand payor edits, research, how to apply, Read denial, look at coding on account, research

4. 50/50 Coding/ Denials May fluctuate – Be open to this or mixing it up

Landscape:

-Have 5 Surgery Centers and a Hospital they would code for

-No CDI program so they will be doing their own queries and pushing back on doctors as needed

-100% Remote

Hours: Can start as early as 6 am CST, end by Midnight (prefers day hours)

Type of Assignment: Contract to Hire

Software: 3M, Paragon Medical records Abstracting System, One Content (Will train on this, very easy to use)
