Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Informatica Data Engineer with extensive experience in designing and supporting Informatica-based ETL solutions within regulated healthcare environments. This role demands hands-on technical proficiency, ownership of deliverables, and close collaboration with pharmacy operations, security, infrastructure, and analytics teams.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of batch scheduling, workflow orchestration, and healthcare data formats commonly used in pharmacy and payer systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain complex ETL workflows using Informatica.
Implement and manage batch scheduling and workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS) or equivalent).
Oversee job dependencies, error handling, retries, and SLA-driven processing.
Configure and maintain secure data access controls using Security Plan Manager (SPM) or similar governance tools.
Process and integrate healthcare and pharmacy data formats, including:834
Enrollment files HL7 messages
Pharmacy rebate/government reporting files (e.g., FIRE)
Ensure all data pipelines comply with HIPAA and internal security standards.
Collaborate with architecture, compliance, QA, analytics, and downstream consumer teams.
Troubleshoot production issues and participate in on-call rotations as needed.
Contribute to documentation, operational standards, and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
6+ years of data engineering experience with Informatica.
Strong hands-on expertisein: Informatica Scheduling/workflow tools such as TWS, Control-M, AutoSys, or similar Security/governance tools like SPM
Proven experience working with HIPAA-regulated healthcare or pharmacy data.
Practical knowledge of healthcare file formats: 834 HL7FIRE or similar pharmacy/government reporting formats
Advanced SQL skills and experience with large relational databases.
Ability to support production environments with high reliability requirements.
Strong collaboration skills in a matrixed environment.
Experience leading or contributing to legacy-to-modernization migration projects, including re-engineering ETL workflows, optimizing performance, and transitioning to cloud or hybrid platforms.
Exposure to cloud based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake).
