Process Control and SCADA Engineer (Onsite)

Job Description

Must-have skills: 7+ y of exp with process control, PID loops and/or protection; exp with networked based communication and control architectures; SCADA; energy exp; Modbus, OPC, and DNP3 protocols;safety standards e.g. IEC 61511/61508 or equivalent protection concepts; DCS/PLC based control implementations e.g. Controllogix, Ovation, PCS7, DeltaV; power fundamentals and voltage control; RNG, LNG and/or H2 gas process and/or combustion exp.

Requirements:
• Availability to work 100% at the Client’s site in  Juno Beach, FL (required);• Experience working as Process Control and SCADA Engineer (7+ years);• Experience with functional logic development for continuous process control, PID loops and/or protection• Experience with networked based communication and control architectures;• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or related STEM field
Preferred:• Experience with Modbus, OPC, and DNP3 protocols;• Experience with functional safety standards e.g. IEC 61511/61508 or equivalent protection concepts;• Experience with DCS/PLC based control implementations e.g. Controllogix, Ovation, PCS7, DeltaV;• Experience with power fundamentals and voltage control;• RNG, LNG and/or H2 gas process and/or combustion experience;• Working technical integration experience;• Supervisor/Management Experience.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Plans and develops engineering projects which have important impact on major company programs• Acts as subject matter expert to individuals within and outside the organization with responsibility to act independently regarding technical matters pertaining to individual’s field• Completes assignments given in broad terms concerning general objectives and limitations• Provides technical support to project developers and peer engineering disciplines• Incorporates feedback from operating engineers for failure mitigation and quality improvement• Performs system and factory acceptance testing for new controls and system mods and upgrades• Provides technical leadership in the functional specification, design, implementation and testing of control solutions
