Simple guidelines to build resume on your own.
- Choose a format: You can use a reverse-chronological layout, which lists your most recent experience first, and then previous roles.
- Add your contact information: This should be in the header.
- Write a summary: This is a two to three-sentence statement that describes your relevant skills, achievements, and experience.
- List your work experience: This should include your job title and years of experience, and a few of your most important achievements.
- List your skills: This should include your soft and hard skills.
- Include your education: This should be listed in a section.
- List any awards or accomplishments: This should include any awards and accomplishments you’ve received throughout your career.
- Add a declaration: This should include your name and date.
